Good-day, Paul.
I hope this finds someone to respond. I'm a very close friend to William Kassis who had his picture taken with Robert. I'd like to publish them in the Biography I'm writing on Bill (my adopted father), as he has also passes away now, 2 yrs this June. Feel free to email me the reproductive authorization, if permitted. As Robert has already passed, I'm again, sorry for your loss, and would use the pics, I'd just like to ask first.... Thank you for your consideration. -David

I am researching Maryhill Church and it's connection to my family, the Mathias George/Louisa George Smith/Catherine Smith Rasmussen. I came across your site and I do remember my mother and Grandmother talking about the Grupp family. Could it be that our families were neighbors, friends or cousins?

I hope to hear from you.

Dear Mr. Grupp or Grupp Family,
Thank you for posting the photos of the Boys School in Ramallah. I happened to stumble on the photos by accident. I was searching on my family name, SAAH, had found photos of two of my uncles as young boys (Hanna and Jamil) and family friends (S. Kaibni, Rantisi, ; I had no idea they attended this school and have come to learn the stories recently. If you have any additional photos of the school children, employees and Ramallah (as it was), I'd be most interested in seeing them.
With kind regards,
Suzanne Saah

While searching for evidence of the proximity of Gethsemane and Golgotha and Jesus' tomb, I stumbled upon these wonderful photos. What a blessing they were to me as I viewed the Holy Land. I trust the family of Bob Grupp is still enjoying his beautiful contributions through the gift of photography!

Susan and family,
I am so saddened by Bob's death. He was there for me after my son passed away and we remained friends til his death. In fact, he will always be my friend! He told me he wanted to be here for the rapture, and maybe this is it! Bob had a way about him that made you think, "is he real?" He was unselfish and caring and said I was his friend. Bob was so kind, loving, always had a positive way about him, and ALWAYS had a smile. He always greeted me with a big hug, and he knew I needed one. And when I would call him or leave the house, his last words were, "Bless you." I will miss him so much but I will also treasure our friendship! What a wonderful man and certainly one of God's greatest fans!!!! Bless you all. love, Jane McDougall

Robert Grupp passed away quietly in his home on the evening of August 19th, 2006. He was the best father a son could have -- wise, loving, generous, and above all, kind. He was always there for me in the good times and bad, and I can never thank him enough for all he taught me. I wanted him to be here with us forever. I miss him terribly.

Dad, you brought joy and happiness to so many of us. I love you and miss you.

Paul

Uncle Bob, I know that even though your not here to read this letter, it makes me feel better to still talk to you, because I know you'll listen...
I appreciate all the things you've done for my family and I in the past, and I respect you for your outlook on how beautiful life really is. You were to light to so many peoples' lives, and you will forever be remembered for your generosity, and respect, and how much you truly cared for those you encountered.
I promised you once that I would sing to you next time I got the opportunity, and I suppose this is it. When I sing, I will sing for the love you gave to your family, and the joy you gave to others.
I love you Uncle Bob, and I will remember the times we shared together. When I sing, I know you'll be here to listen.

God Bless.

Love,
Rebecca Jane

Hello Bob,
I am glad to have seen your pictures and found you again! Do you remember the Isteeros in Egypt? Maybe we can communicate again. What a genius you are!
Lots of good wishes to you and Sue.

Thank you, Bob, for your gracious comment on my "Praise" Gallery. You too have a beautiful collection of memories here...On with the show, right?

Hello Bob! Peace be with you! It's been many, many years ago back in Mason City. I enjoyed your photos of the 1986 reunion, and of my mother Grace as a guest at the reunion. Marlene and I have a son, Bill, now just 40, and a daughter Susan, now 37. No grand children. The last time I saw Bud was 4 or so years ago at Mother's memorial service. I'm not much of a communicator. David C. Grupp (Dave), son of Herbert C. & Grace Grupp.

Hi Mr. Grupp,

Long time its been. Very strange that now I would find you. A friend of mine who happens to be a minister brought up your name. I recalled living as your neighbor and a book that you gave me as well as being good friends with my mother. I hope this reaches you and all is well with you.

Thank you so much for sharing these pictures. There is a beautiful sense of peace and simplicity in them. I also loved seeing the photo of my father, and imagining a simpler life there.

Thank you for your pictures. I was able to see what my husband looked like at age 11. The children could not decide which of the boys was their father. What fun!!!Now we spell our last name KAIBNI (instead of Kaibny or Kaibney).

Hello Bob - came across your site quite by accident. I was searching for a place that would deliver something besides flowers in Sioux City. I see photos referencing Sioux City as well as Lemars, which is where I was born.

Small world I guess. Nice compilation of memories. Photography is a hobby of mine as well, but I'm not a professional by any means.

PS - I liked the Acropolis shot.
